St Patricks Day Dog Expo


The National Show Centre, in Cloghran, Swords, Co Dublin will see a new and amazing event on St Patrick’s Day this year. The Irish Kennel Club (IKC) are holding their first Dog Expo with the promise of many activities including:

  • Agility and Obedience Display

  • Parade of Annual Champions

  • Best Annual Champion (3.00 p.m.)

  • Gundog Display

  • Dogs for the Disabled Display

  • Retired Greyhound Final

  • Family Pet Competitions including Waggiest Tail and Best Tricks

  • There is a promise of fun

    for all the family including some face painting activities for children.

 Provisional Timetable

  • 11am Peata Parade

  • 11.30am. Parade of Annual Champions.

  • 12.00 Obedience Display

  • 12.30 Presentation to Dogs for austism

  • 1pm Retired Greyhounds

  • 2pm. Gundog Display

  • 2.30pm Parade of Irish Native Breeds introduced

  • 3pm Best Annual Champion

  • 3.30 Therapy Dogs

  • 4pm Agility Display

  • 4.30pm Final of the Best Pet Dog

  • 5pm. Obedience Display.

A true dog lover's world of wonder – the event is ideal for owners, families with dogs or looking to adopt or select a family pet or simply a great day family day out. The event will feature some of the best trained dogs in the country displaying their talents for the general public. In addition, there will be trade stands offering every type of accessory and food for your pooch and we will have representative dogs from many breeds with their owners and breeders to help with questions and advice.

Why not bring your dog along for microchipping and IKC registration – all available on the day.

All dogs and their families are welcome! Doors are open from 11:00am

Tickets: €5.00 per adult / FREE entry for children accompanied by a paying adult.
